Physicians Assistants:

Physician's Assistants (P.A.'s) are licenses health care professionals who are trained to perform physical exams, order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnose and treat illness, write prescriptions, and provide counsel on preventative health care. P.A.'s must graduate from an accredited program and pass a national certification examination every six years in order to remain certified for clinical practice. P.A.'s provide medical services only under the direct supervision of a licensed physician. Internal Medicine Associates has employed P.A.'s for over fifteen years and consider their contribution to our "team approach" to your care as both essential and invaluable.
