Hospital Care:

Our primary care physicians utilize St. Joseph Hospital and Lexington Clinic Hospitalists service for hospital admissions when in-patient care becomes necessary. These board certified internists specialize in hospital medicine and will be contacted either by your Internal Medicine Associates provider or by the emergency room staff should hospitalization be indicated. Your hospitalist attending physician will direct your care during your in-patient stay and at its conclusion, will return you to our care. We will receive appropriate records summarizing your hospitalization and see you in the office for your post-hospital follow-up.

Should your illness or surgery result in the need for an extended stay in a rehabilitation facility, your care will be directed by a rehab specialist at that facility. As with hospitalizations at St. Joseph, you will be returned to the care of your Internal Medicine Associates physician following your dismissal from the rehab facility.

Dr. Margolies, our board-certified Rheumatologist, maintains consulting privileges at both St. Joseph Hospital and Central Baptist Hospital and will make hospital calls on his patients when requested.
